New ‘Turning 60’ Pensioner Campaign

The Department for Work and Pensions has just launched a national campaign to introduce people who have just turned 60 to The Pension Service and Pension Credit.

From July 2006, people who have just turned 60 will receive a letter and leaflet explaining how to find out about their entitlement and apply for Pension Credit.
You can view the Pension Credit leaflet here

Pension Credit is an entitlement for people aged 60 and over who live in Great Britain. It guarantees everyone aged 60 or over a minimum weekly income and could mean extra money for you every week.

People who are over 65 may get additional Pension Credit to reward them for saving for their retirement. The rates of Pension Credit depend on whether you are single or married.

Over 3 million people now receive money that’s rightfully theirs. Yet over a million people still haven’t picked up their entitlement. Please don’t be one of them.

Simply call Pension Credit on freephone 0800 99 1234.
